On this page
Participation Ratio measures the number of unique accounts posting on a ticker's stream relative to the total number of messages on that stream. In plain terms: is everyone talking, or are a few people talking a lot?
Reading the score
Like Sentiment and Message Volume, Participation Ratio uses a 0–100 scale from Extremely Low to Extremely High.
Higher scores mean the conversation is spread across many different accounts — broad, organic interest.
Lower scores mean a smaller group of accounts is responsible for most of the posts.
Where to find it
Open any ticker page and select the Sentiment tab. Participation Ratio appears below Sentiment and Message Volume.
Why it helps: A spike in Message Volume with a low Participation Ratio can mean a few accounts are driving the noise. High volume with a high ratio suggests genuinely widespread attention.
Edge members can compare Participation Ratio over longer periods — up to 1 year. See Historical Sentiment & Chart Overlays.
