Does Stocktwits give investment advice?

Stocktwits is a community and data platform, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Here’s how to use community content responsibly.

No. Stocktwits is a place to discover ideas, follow the market conversation, and see what the crowd is thinking — but it does not provide investment advice.

What Stocktwits is (and isn't)

  • Stocktwits, Inc. is not a securities broker-dealer, investment adviser, or any other type of financial professional.

  • Nothing on the platform — including posts, sentiment scores, trending lists, news, or AI-generated summaries — is an offer, a solicitation, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security or financial product.

  • Stocktwits does not recommend securities, transactions, or orders, and does not produce or provide research.

Using community content responsibly

  • Treat posts as opinions. Members share their own views, and anyone can be wrong.

  • Do your own research. Confirm important information with primary sources such as company filings and earnings reports.

  • Watch for conflicts. Some posters may hold positions in the tickers they talk about.

  • Be skeptical of guarantees. Promises of guaranteed returns are a red flag. See Spotting Scams, Pump-and-Dumps & Impersonators.

Important: Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Consider speaking with a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.
