Stocktwits enforces a set of zero-tolerance house rules to keep the community safe, useful, and focused on real trading and investing conversations. Breaking any of the rules below can lead to restrictions or a permanent ban.
House Rules (Zero Tolerance)
No Abuse — Don’t disrespect or harass others. Everyone has different levels of experience and capital. Stocktwits is a place to learn, not attack. Personal attacks, threats, or harassment will not be tolerated.
No Spam — Do not promote your services with ads, gated links, or private groups. Content must be publicly accessible and useful to the community.
No Cheerleading or Bashing — Avoid repetitive hype or hate for a ticker. Only post when you’re adding something new or helpful to the conversation.
No Bot-like Behavior — Accounts that show signs of automation, i.e., copy-paste spam, mass posting, or scripted behavior, will be permanently banned.
No Inappropriate Avatars — Avatars showing nudity, violence, or offensive content will result in restrictions or bans.
No Off-Platform Recruitment — Posting Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or other third-party group links is not allowed and may result in suspension or a permanent ban.
