Direct Messages let you have private, one-on-one conversations with other Stocktwits members — away from the public stream.
Send a message
Go to the profile of the person you want to message.
Select the message (envelope) icon next to Follow.
Type your message and send.
Find your conversations
Select Messages in the left menu on desktop to see all your conversations, with the most recent at the top. Select any conversation to open it and reply.
Tip: Want an email when someone messages you? Turn on Direct Messages under Settings → Notifications → Email Notifications.
Stay safe in your inbox
Never share your password, account codes, or financial details in a message.
Be wary of unsolicited offers, “guaranteed” picks, or invites to Discord, WhatsApp, or Telegram groups.
If someone is spamming or harassing you, block and report them.
Keep public conversations in replies or with @mentions, and use Direct Messages for anything that doesn't belong in a ticker stream.
