Autocomplete & Cashtag Logos

We’ve upgraded how cashtags work on Stocktwits — making them smarter and easier to follow. With autocomplete and logos, posting and reading streams is now more intuitive.

What is Autocomplete & Cashtag Logos?

Cashtags are how traders communicate on Stocktwits. This update makes them easier to spot and tag:

• Autocomplete: Start typing $TSL… and instantly see suggestions to complete your ticker.
• Logos: Company logos now appear next to cashtags in feeds and posts, helping you recognize symbols at a glance.

How It Works:

• Autocomplete when posting: Type a cashtag, and the ticker will automatically complete from a dropdown menu. Press Enter, Space, or Tab to confirm.
• Logos in feeds and posts: Logos appear before cashtags wherever you see them, in streams, posts, and comments, as well as the message compose screen.

How to Control It:

Prefer a cleaner look? You have complete control.

• On Desktop: Go to Settings → Preferences → Show logos in posts and toggle off.
• On Apps: Go to Settings → Display → Show logos in posts and toggle off.

Turning this off removes logos from both posting and viewing.

What to Watch For:

• Fewer typos: Autocomplete reduces errors when posting.
• Faster recognition: Logos make scanning streams easier.
• Personal choice: Keep logos on for clarity or toggle them off for simplicity.
